Bright Future for India - Ideas using Social, Big Data and Internet of Things

In India, We seem to be more focussed on improving Physical Infrastructure. It is important, however... There is an urgent need to improve our National Information Infrastructure. It is not just about fibre optic networks to villages. We need to improve our data collection and management infrastructure for better governance and effective national-level decision making. Today, Data collection from both human and machine sources is weak or does not exist. Our Prime Minister's office knows the power of Social Media and Digital Strategies. Lets apply Digital Strategy by creating  crowd sourcing platforms for enriching the data about our localities and learn about economic activities at a granular level. Lets encourage university research in inventing mass-scale sensor technologies for machine based data collection. use government assets and encourage private participation in enriching the machine/sensor based data collection and understanding the state of our environment

Infrastructure Management for Internet of Things

These are tumultuous times, impending wars, fewer jobs, failing banks and slower economic growth. We need good leadership for security, a proper natural resource utilization to save our planet and build hope for a better tomorrow. I am finding leadership and hope in oddest of places...in our tech sector. We are buzzing with activity in Social networking, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud Technologies. In some ways all these trends are having a synergistic effect to promote rapid development and consequent  adoption of Internet of Things(IoT). We are seeing massive acquisitions(NEST by Google/Beats by Apple) of IoT potentials, Crowd funding and rapid improvement in energy technologies(solar/battery).   These are fueling the progress of internet of things as the next big thing. Impact of Internet of Things(IoT) will be direct and transformative for both communities and corporations. Some examples of Mundane Tasks that can be made simple with application of IoT: 1.
